About

Numbers were never the problem. Knowing what to do with them was.

ShortLens is a review tool for YouTube Shorts creators. It reads the real retention of every Short, watches the video itself, and hands you one specific thing to change on the next upload.

What it actually does

Your analytics already tell you a Short underperformed. They don't tell you it was the three seconds of black screen at the start, or that Saturday uploads pull 142% more views than your weekday average. ShortLens does.

The rules we hold ourselves to

The machine never invents a number

Every figure is computed from your data first. The AI only ever interprets numbers it was handed, so it can't make a statistic up.

Measured, or labeled

When a diagnosis is backed by your retention data it says measured. When it's inferred from the content, it says so. You always know which is which.

It can never touch your channel

Two Google permissions, both view-only. ShortLens cannot post, edit, or delete anything. Ever.

Where we are: an honest pilot

ShortLens is in early access. That means real people are using it on real channels, the price is deliberately low, and there is no card on file and no auto-charge. It also means we're not going to show you testimonials we don't have yet, or invent numbers to look bigger. What you see on this site is the actual product, captured from a live channel, unedited.

Who it's for

Three kinds of Shorts creators, one review workflow: the operator running several channels who needs the winners to be obvious, the on-camera creator checking their instincts against the data, and the clipper hunting the cut that travels. See how each one uses it.

See it on your own Shorts.
